Note on third-country transfers: for Google, Hotjar (US subsidiary), Microsoft (USA), Meta and OpenAI, transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. The basis is the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework under Art. 45 GDPR and standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 para. 2 point c GDPR. Details are available in our Privacy policy.
2.4 Session Storage (not a cookie)
We also use your browser's Session Storage to temporarily store UTM parameters (the source of the website visit). This data is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab and is not technically a cookie.
3. Legal basis
The legal basis for technically necessary cookies is § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary to provide the telemedia service expressly requested by the user) in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 point f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a functioning website).
The legal basis for analytics and marketing cookies is your consent under § 25 para. 1 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 point a GDPR.
4. Consent management and cookie settings
To manage your consent, we use a consent management tool operated by the provider itself . Your choice is stored exclusively locally in your browser (Local Storage); it is not transmitted to the provider or third parties, stored on a server or transferred to a third country.
Technically, we use Google Consent Mode v2: until you have expressly consented, Google services (Google Analytics, Google Ads) send only anonymised, cookieless signals (“denied” by default). Analytics or marketing cookies are only set after your consent.
You can change your settings at any time:
- Using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer: The consent banner reopens and you can change your choices for the future or withdraw them completely.
- By clearing Local Storage: If you clear your browser's Local Storage under the key
cleverbauen24-cookie-consent, the banner will automatically reappear on your next visit. - Through your browser: You can generally block, delete or restrict cookies and Local Storage in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may impair website functionality.
